Update from Ukraine – March 11, 2022

I haven’t been on here to give you updates because there is so much pain, I don’t know what to do with it.

I’m going to try this time. I just got a message from a good friend, our bakery, our Pastor that we’ve been supporting, he’s been supporting thousands of people and giving them bread. His house burned down this night, but they’re safe and they’re not giving up, they’re moving forward, to bake bread and to glorify got, to be the hands and feet of Christ. Thank you guys for supporting us.

I’ve been to Lviv a couple times now and I’m heading back again. I got a chance to visit the train station. It’s the most heartbreaking place I’ve ever seen, like in a movie. They told us there were about 60,000 people who go through there in 24 hours. It’s chaos.

We went to look and see if we could help the medics. We found a woman, Natalie, and I told her I’m part of a team of American doctors who want to help in any way we can. She didn’t say a word, she just hugged me and cried. She said it’s a disaster, and at night it’s an apocalypse.

So thank you so much to everyone who has been supporting us, that’s been part of this, we couldn’t do it without you.

And keep doing it, Samaritan’s Purse is officially in Lviv and we’re trying to help people, we’ve got a clinic and hospital set up in two places, if you’re interested go on their website or contact Samaritan’s Purse to come and help us.

We need all the help we can get, god bless you all and keep praying and supporting any way you can, thank you. God bless!

In the midst of Ukraine’s darkest hour, we have watched ordinary people rise. We have fathers who have become drivers who go in and out of Ukraine with little to no sleep. We have a pastor who began baking over a thousand loafs of breads a day so that people won’t go hungry. We have young people caring for refugees. Our kids are making sandwiches to make sure those on the border get to eat. Ordinary people are doing wonders.
